Unlike small fans that cool only when you're directly in front of them, Altra-Air fans blanket a very large area with constantly moving air to create an expansive "comfort zone". As a result, an evaporative cooling effect of 6.0 -8.0 degrees Fahrenheit occurs throughout the facility. During heating seasons, the Altra-Air fan technology can de-stratify uneven temperatures that can be in excess of 15 degrees Fahrenheit from ceiling to floor. This results in significant cost savings since the heating system cycles less frequently. One Altra-Air fan consumes about the same electricity as one high speed 48" Man Cooler Fan while moving 12 times the amount of air and costs about a nickel an hour to operate.
